So what do you do when its almost 4 am and you can't sleep? You update a blog that you have forgotten about for almost 7 years! Its amazing the things that have changed in 7 years. Patrick is now 6 years old and......Caroline is 4 going on 5, Kaedence is 3, and tomorrow Matthew turns 2. So there have been a few updates since the last time i wrote. :)
When i started this blog for Patrick I would never have guessed that I would end up being the mother of 4 children. Life is crazy and hectic most days but its amazing to watch all of them grow and change each day. Patrick is in Kindergarten, and Caroline is in 4 yr old preschool. I can not believe that they are old enough to go to school. School has been amazing for both of them. Patrick has gone from being a toddler to being a little boy overnight. He is so tall and growing daily. Caroline is so tall as well and doing amazing well. School has been one of the best things for her. One of her more recent changes is that she is saying more things in complete phrases. It was a massive day when she finally walked, when she said momma, and now she is able to say i love you and goodnight. To hear her finally say i love you momma......its one of the best phrases that i have ever heard. Patrick will be in soccer this spring. He has all his gear ready and is excited beyond belief to start. I hope that it is something that he loves doing. Im excited to see him running around on the soccer field. Kaedence lives up to her name, lol. She is a true 3rd born child and like her name marches to the beat of her own drum. She is her own person, she loves to boss the others around and make her presence known to everyone. Matthew is the baby of the group.... and he is a ham like most babies of the family. He thinks he is bigger than he is and wants to be in the middle of everything that is going on. He hangs with the big kids pretty well. But he is still my cuddle buddy. :)
There are so many more things that i could add, but instead of trying to cram them all into one post, I will continue to update this one..... so until next time.....

10 weeks old today!
Patrick is 10 weeks old today!! He has gone from 7lbs. 4oz. to 11lbs. 11.8 oz. and 23 in. long! He has changed some much in the last 10 weeks. He is grinning and smiles all the time now and makes noises as well. We still have moments where it is hard to believe that he is ours and that he is here. On the days that we both work my mom keeps him, so he gets to spend the day playing with grandma, grandpa, and uncle charlie! It is comforting to know that he is taken care of and enjoying where he is at, it makes it easier for me to be away from him during the days that I work. Life has changed in so many ways and in other ways it is still the same. He is growing so quickly, there are times it is crazy to see how quickly he is growing and I'm excited to see what he will discover next but I want to stay small for a while longer!! It really does go by very quickly. I can't believe he will be 3 months old in only a few weeks from now! We are looking forward to all the adventures that are coming our way. I'm going to try and get new pictures posted soon we are going to be taking Easter pictures hopefully very soon, so I'm going to try and work on the pictures.

Finally Home!
Alright, well it has been some time since I posted last. There are a few things that have changed!! We went to the hospital Sunday night and they started the process of inducing, and continued into Monday morning, the doctor came in and broke my water early in the morning, and the contractions were progressing nicely just ask Heath how his hand felt! But unfortunately I got to 4 cm dialated and didn't progress so the decision was made C-section it was!
The whole process took less than 30 minutes, the next thing I know he is out and crying and Heath is going to the nursery with him and I'm being taken back to my room. The next couple of hours flew by faster than I can explain, family and friends came to visit the three days we were there and then on Thursday we got to come home!
His biggest accomplishment the first day home was that he woke up around 2:30am hungry and needing to be changed so we did that and then when I put him back to bed he slept until 7:30am!! I know that won't be the norm but it was a nice surprise for the first night!
There is so much more that I could add if I could remember it all! Thank you to everyone for their thoughts and prayers and well wishes, I'm recovery fine and Patrick is happy and healthy, and Heath and I are slowly getting used to our news roles but enjoying all of it!

Buddy Bear
So we decided to get out of the house for a little while yesterday, and we ended up at the mall. We were walking around, with no particular store that we wanted to go in, we wandered over to the newer end of the Fayette mall and passed by the Build-a Bear store and we got the idea of making a bear for Patrick. We looked through the animals that you could choose from, and we ended up getting a black bear that we thought was cute. Now for those who have never done this process, you pick out the animal you want, then you stand in line to have it stuffed, then you pick out outfits and accessories to your heart's content! :) (usually its the kids doing these activities while the parents watch their wallets get smaller!) Oh did I mention that you can add a heart that either plays songs, a recorded message, or talks to you! It really is a cute and fun process to watch when the kids get involved b/c of their faces and excitement. So we start looking at clothes to see if we see anything that we like, I saw a t-shirt that said "It's a Boy" and thought that would be cute to get. Then I saw a pair of overalls that I thought might be cute as well, Heath looks at me and says that he has the perfect name for the bear and we have to get the overalls. We named the bear Buddy Bear after a Jimmy Buffet song, so our son now has his very on stuffed animal named Buddy Bear complete with overalls and a It's a Boy t-shirt!! He isn't even here yet and he already has us wrapped around his little finger!!!
Even as I am sitting here writting this post its hard for me to believe this time next week I will be holding my son, when we went to the doctor monday this sunday seemed so far away and now its only 3 days away. Its exciting and scary all at the same time to think that one phase is coming to an end and another is just about to begin. Even now as I am typing Patrick is moving around letting me know he is here. Looking back I never realized how quickly childhood goes by without us knowing it and then small things like making a teddy bear make you remember the things you held so dear as a child, like a stuffed animal or blanket that brought you comfort when you needed it. So in 3 days life changes as we know it and I'm looking forward to seeing the world around us through a set of eyes that haven't seen any of it before!

News on arrival
Well the doctor's appointment went well, his heartbeat is good and strong at 138 and he is still head down, measuring what he should be for 38 weeks and 3 days. If he has not made his appearance by this Sunday the 4th, then I am scheduled to go to the hospital that night and be induced so he would arrive sometime on Monday the 5th. So hopefully he will decide to make his appearance on his own sometime this week or if not then with a little help. I am also officially off work until he is here, so now we wait and see what happens and pray that however he arrives, everything goes well for both him and me.
Awaiting his arrival
Well I came up with the crazy idea at 3:00 in the morning when I couldn't sleep, that it would be a good idea to start a blog for Patrick so that when he does get here, this will make it easier to give updates to everyone, post pictures all in one place, and just give a central location that everyone can go to.
As of Friday Dec. 26 I am 38 weeks along, and awaiting his arrival (not so patiently sometimes!)
Everything is going fine, I go to the doctor today (Monday) and we will see what progress if any has been made towards delivery time, at our last appointment the doctor mentioned that if Patrick was still inside at 38 to 39 weeks then we would discuss other options, so we will see today what action is taken from here.
We have prepared as much as possible to this point for his arrival, we have all the major needs covered with the help of family and friends. We have our bags packed and by the door or in the car!
Me personally I am physically tired of being pregnant, I am very grateful and blessed that this pregnancy has been for the most part an easy one, but my body has just reached the point that I know most pregnant woman finally reach, I'm constantly tired and there is no position that is comfortable for very long. I'm sure Heath will be very grateful when I stop turning over constantly in my sleep! But enough of the complanints. Like I said I figured by starting this blog Heath and I could both post updates on here to let family and friends know what was going on, with everyone being so spread out all over the place. This will hopefully give one central location for everyone to go to for information and pictures as we can get them on here.
I will try to give another update today after seeing the doctor to see where we go from here.
